We are very interested in what you have to say and encourage you to talk freely about drugs and drug use. Your privacy is also very important to us. This event should provide a safe and supportive environment. We pledge to you and each other to respect the comments and privacy of others. The family is affected by all users, whether it be parents, siblings, children. Each person is affected in a different way. We all process information at the level of age, experience, and emotional maturity. This does not mean one is right or wrong, it just is.

Support for the family can be found in 12 step programs such as Alanon or Alateen, counseling and medical doctors with experience in addiction. Finding resources, learning as much as you can about addiction and having support are keys to living in an environment where addiction may be prevalent.
